Coachella starts this weekend...I die. I so wish I could go! The line up this year is INcredible! If I could but go to Coachella I would see Band of Horses, Metric, Phoenix, The XX, Beach House, Franz Ferdinand, Of Monsters and Men, Passion Pit, Portugal the Man, Tegan and Sara, The Airborne Toxic Event, The Lumineers, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and of course The Red Hot Chili Peppers. If I could but go to Coachella I would buy myself this hair chalk from Free People, and give myself a pink ombré. Granted, I'll probably do this sometime soon anyway, but still. If I could but go to Coachella I would live in denim cut offs like these, and billowy tops like this one or the one I'm wearing above. If I could but go to Coachella my feet would be constantly strapped into gladiator sandals like these or these, plus they're buy one get one $10 so that's a plus! If I could but go to Coachella my eyes would be kept protected from the California sun by sunnies like these, and my wrists would be stacked high with bangles/cuffs like these and these. If I could but go to Coachella I'd paint patterns on myself like the one on the girl in this Free People photo. But alas, Coachella costs about $380 not to mention the money that would be spent on travel. Yikes! Oh well, I guess it's for the better that I'm not going. I'll look at it this way, I'm saving myself the trouble of being around a bunch of potheads. But still, if I could but go to Coachella...
Much Love!
P.S. Want to learn how to fishtail braid? Here's my tutorial!
1: Pull hair into a side pony. Loosen the hair near the crown for extra volume by gently tugging the hair at the roots.
2: Split pony into two sections.
3: Grab a small piece of hair from the very edge of the left section of hair and cross it over to the right. Like so. Grab a small piece of hair from the very edge of the right section of hair and cross it over to the left.
4: Repeat step 3 all the way to the bottom making sure to pull each strand of hair tightly.
5: Pull the elastic you used to make your side pony down to the end of the braid and tighten it.
6: Voila, a fishtail braid! Now, you can leave it tight like that...
...or you can tug on the edges like so...
P.P.S
Pardon my lack of proper clothing, I was filthy and about to jump in the shower!
Next year for sure we need to go to cochella!
