The Theory of Everything

Dudes, I'm sooooo tired. Like, always. I know it's partly, ok, MOSTLY due to the fact that I haven't been going to bed till midnight, buuuuuuut my phone/the internet always seem way more interesting right before bed than they do during the day. I just can't help it. ;) Also, can I just stay 22 forever? I'm really loving it and I don't want to let go of it just yet. And, yeah, I know I still have four months left of being 22 but we all know how months move by CARAZZZZZY fast! Also, the more time I spend being a sort of "grown up" the more I realize that it sort of sucks. Grown ups have too many bills. It's pretty poopy. Can't life just be free? Pretty please? ;) Aaaaalso, have any of you seen the latest "Hunger Games" movie? I still haven't and I actually don't know if I ever will. I mean, don't get me wrong, I was a HUGE fan of the books and the first two movies but I'm just not very into it this time around. I'm feeling very blase about it. Anyone ja feel or is it just me? I'd actually much rather see, "The Theory of Everything". Now THAT is a cool lookin' movie.

I O-fficially have six days left of being 21! I have to say, I'm actually pretty excited to turn 22. It just seems like such a nice number. Twenty-two. Tweeeeeenty-two. I sure like the sound of that! Young but not too young. I like it. I've also really liked 21, though. It was a good age! I'm going to really soak in these last six days of 21! Now for the fun stuff! The winner of the $160 ASOS gift card is...Danielle Pelton! YAY! Keep an eye out for an email from me in the next day or so! Now, in celebration of my birthday coming up I'm makin' a teensy weensy little wish list. ;) Ya know, for anyone who feels like sending me anything, because, ya know, we're just that close. The reader/blogger relationship is a close one, guys. It is. ;) Unfortunately, I'm too lazy to upload photos of everything so you'll just have to trust my descriptions and marvelous taste. ;)

This black midi skirt is. to die. for. I love that sheer panel near the hem. So delicate. So pretty. Pair it with chunky healed brown leather sandals and a white blouse? Ladylike beauty!

This striped dress would be the best basic. Cozy cardi, sandals, and a floppy hat? Perfection.

This handbag is the perfect spring accessory! Love the color, love the size! It'd look sooo cute with the striped bodycon dress and a pair of pumps!

These sandals? Uggggg. Per. Fection. With the black midi skirt I linked above? Mmm. Beautiful combo. Or. OR. With a pair of light washed jeans and a white tee? Hallelu!

This pair of wedges, no words necessary. Mmm. Mmm.

Now, since I don't actually expect to get any of this, why don't you guys head on over to Lulu's and get it fer yerselves. :)

Much love!

The Crickets, the crickets!

Whelp, folks, it's my last post for the month of February. This month sure did fly by, and it was a poopy one at that. Don't get me wrong, I was all sorts of crazy happy this month (especially this week, kinda weird considering I'm riding the crimson tide this week and that usually causes the opposite effect) but in general it was just poop poop poopy. Sorry for over using that word. I know it's some people's "icky, I can't hear it without cringing" word so I'll control my use of it. Poopy. There, it's out of my system. Hopefully. Anyway, I figured since we've reached another end of the month I should probably do another update on my "Closet Challenge". As you'll all remember I totally killed it last month. I went 100% without shopping. This month, though? ...Cue the crickets...I went a little haywire. Well, maybe that's an exaggeration. Either way, though? I shopped. Anyway, if you remember my rules you'll also remember that I gave myself safety guidelines should I slip up. Click here to read the full post in which I declare my year long shopping hiatus. Following those rules I now need to place the exact amount of money I spent on shopping into my savings account, which has been slowing accumulating more dough, as I've also been placing a 1/4 of my monthly income into it as money I would've otherwise spent on shopping. Let's get to this then. This is what I bought this month:

H&M
t-strap pumps: $34.95
knit skirt: $29.95
(I actually ended up returning this because although it was marked a small it fit more like a medium. I couldn't get a refund, however, because I didn't have the receipt so I got $32 in store credit.)
basic black loafers: $14.95
(I bought these with some of the store credit I got from the skirt. I actually ended up only paying $4 for them because I had a $10 off coupon. SCORE!)
shoulder bag in brown: $9.95
(I actually bought this on sale for $6.95 on President's Day)

F21
floral bodysuit: $8.80
basic pink cardigan: $8.80
London t-shirt: $8.80

TOTAL SPENT: $97.95

Well, that's all the stuff I bought. The amount I spent is actually pretty shocking. I hadn't thought it would be quite that much, especially since I felt like I was snagging some pretty good deals, but things add up quickly. Whelp, that's that then. Now all that's left is to deposit $97.95 into my savings account and move on. Here's to a clean slate for March and a renewed commitment to NOT SHOP.

Much love!

Tis the Season

Tis the season for red, pink, purple, and anything heart printed right? Right. And that's all that I'm gonna say in regards to that certain love themed holiday that is approaching. Moving on. These trouser socks? Yeah, they're pretty much the bom diggidy. Yes, I just said bom diggidy. ;) Anyway, I love adding little femme versions of male accessories to an outfit. It's just so fun. Plus, I think the combination of something dressy like trouser socks and oxfords with something as casual as jeans is just so cool. Not that I am cool, I just said bom diggidy and that is the precise opposite of cool. ;) The cute Lauryn and Alexis both tagged me to answer a few questions! How fun right? Seeing as they each had 11 questions, and I don't want to bore all of you, I'll just answer a few of each of their questions! :)
If you were a pizza , what type would you be (based on your personality)? Explain.
I don't know about pizza's, but I just took this quiz about what type of sandwich I would be and I'm a pb&j. I know, so perfect right? I mean I pretty much ate like ten pb&j's a day when I was in high school, and I have a mild obsession with anything peanut butter related. Oh, and explanation. Well, this is the explanation that the quiz gave me. "What goes together better than peanut butter and jelly? You and LIFE, you handsome devil." Their words, not mine. But I am a handsome devil. ;) Just kidding.

If you could be good or better at one thing, what would that be?
Everything. I'm a dabbler, so I'm mildly decent at many things but not really super good at a whole lot. Gymnastics, figure skating, painting, lifting weights, tennis, drawing, roller skating, street racing, martial arts, ballet, make-up artistry, guitar, cello, piano, graffiti, photography, eating less dessert, the list goes on but basically, these are things I'd like to be good or better at.

If you could only use one beauty product for the rest of your life, what would it be?
This is going to sound lame, but I'm not really sure what qualifies as a beauty product. Is it just make-up or is it hair care stuff too? I'm not sure, but I'm going to assume it just involves make-up products, in which case, I would choose blush. I mean, I like eye makeup a lot, but I can feel fine and perfectly happy without it on, but I always like to have a little blush on. It just makes me feel a little more put together/girly/young. It's my go to beauty product. That and eyebrow filler.

How long does it take you to get ready?

Too long. BUT, if I have to, I can be ready in 10-15 minutes.

Finish this sentence: The world could use more ________.
Smiles. The world could use more smiles.

Whats the best book you've ever read?
Like any avid book nerd would say, it's too hard to pick just ONE. This last year, though? I really loved Eleanor&Park and The Silver Linings Playbook.

Day in or day out?
Day out. BUT, only if it involves music, a long drive, nature, and an adventure. I love adventures. Otherwise, I'm all about staying in and spending time with people I love.

Which Disney princess would you rather trade places with?
Honestly? Probably none of them. Even, though, I love Disney princess movies, they kind of live in these sexist little bubbles where they are seen as completely useless creatures. That answer isn't any fun, though, so if I had to pick it'd be a choice between Meg from Hercules, Esmeralda (She's a ho with a fro like me. Except we're not really ho's.;), Pocahontas, or Princess Jasmine. They all have incredible hair and rockin' bodies and, with the exception of Jasmine, they're all fiercely independent!

What frustrates you?

Wet socks, and being hungry.

Do you believe in love at first sight? Why or why not?

I'd like to, but honestly? Not really. I believe that there's such a thing as lust at first sight, but I don't really think a person can feel  something as strong as love by a simple glance at a person.

Thanks Lauryn and Alexis for tagging me!

Much love!
