In celebration of my best friend

Hello there LCF readers! Today I’m hijacking Allexis’s blog, you might be wondering who I am. Well I’m Allexis’s older sister Allison; you might have read about me before. Today I’m taking over to tell you about my best friend Allexis. It was 22 years ago that she was born and little did I know then but we would soon be the best of friends and the closest two sisters could get.  She is my partner in crime, the voice of reason, and my shoulder to cry on, and basically the person I want to see at the end of everyday.

    

In honor of her birthday I have created a little playlist that encompasses some of her favorite songs and some songs that are just plain old Allexis.                                                                                         

My earliest memory of Allexis was, when she was a little baby, I was looking at her tiny hand and wondering what it would feel like if I bit it (btw I was only 1..ok basically 2 at the time). I bit it and it was soft and nice but she didn’t like it. I like to think that’s the day I knew she would be a good sidekick. Ever since then we have always been together matching outfits and all.

 Through our childhood years Allexis was the voice of reason to my many bad ideas. We shared secrets and had a blast. I don’t know if you can tell from reading her blog but Allexis is an extremely funny person, she is always making me laugh! She takes pride in making me do spit takes and shooting soda out of my nose. She makes me laugh all day long with her weird questions, the random thoughts that fill her head and her upbeat bubbly personality! You can’t help but be happy when she is around.

 Allexis was born early (early in the day and a month early), I think we should have realized then two things about her; one she is always super active, and two she isn’t very patient. Much to Allexis’s dismay I am not super active and I’m patient. She spent most of her toddler years trying to come up with clever ways to wake me up so we could play, and being extremely bored when trying to patiently wait till I woke up. We have always been opposites but I think that’s why we work. You might be surprised to know that even though we live together we text each other all day long and we still have things to talk about when we see each other. We talk and talk till you would think there is nothing left to say but we still have more, she is my best friend. And when we communicate through quotes of; movies, books, music, and TV shows we’ve seen I know that no one will ever get me like she does.

Allexis not only is a great friend and sister to me, she is also a great friend and sister to those around her. She takes in her friends and she loves them for who they are and shows them her love in the most wonderful ways. She’s always up for a midnight chat or a movie night. She always has something positive to say and she will always let you know how much she loves you.                                                     

                                  

Through the years I know that there is one person I can count on through thick and thin and that’s my B-E-A-UTIFUL sister Allexis. 

                         

 She is my sunshine and she makes me oh so happy when skies are gray, so cheers to her and to celebrate another year of life! Can’t wait to see what crazy shenanigans we get to this year.

I Don't Know About You...

Today is my last day of being 21, EEP! What will I do, what will I do? The possibilities are endless! Well, not really, but either way, I'm 21 for one last day! Honestly, though? I don't know about you...BUT I'M FEELIN' TWENTY-TWOOOO! Sorry, guys, had to go there, cause well..."I'm happy, free, confused, and lonely at the same time. It's miserable and magical. It's the perfect time for breakfast at midnight!!!!!" I'm not usually a T-Swift fan, but, the song fits. ;) In other news, I have THE best friends and family ever! I kicked off my birthday celebrations early yesterday and went out to Blue Lemon with my chicas. Gosh, they're just THE best. They got me THE most perfect birthday gifts. I don't why it surprises me that they know me SO freakin' well, but they do. They got me exactly all the sorts of things that I wanted! Not to mention that their company is just always the perfect recipe to make me smile! Oh, and! AND! I got a package in the mail from my little sister in Canada!!! AHH! I was so surprised and SO touched! I can't believe that even when she's off serving her mission she would stop and think about me and think to send me some things! Well, that's putting it lightly because she sent me a bat snitch ton of stuff! She's so sweet! And she's got incredible taste in jewelry!! She seriously sent me the cutest accessories! Sigh, twas the best!

Now, moving onto outfit related news, how cute is this top? Totally adorable, right? It's SO soft it's nuts, plus the pink stripes are just so fun and perfect for Spring! Not to mention that it's got the soft slouchy feel that I've been obsessing over lately. I don't know, the baggy t-shirt look is just so cozy and awesome, right?  Well, this cute lil' tee is from To Adorn, an awesome daily deal site, and guys like I've already said, it's perf. Go stop by their site, check out some of their deals, and see if there's anything you like! Also, I've had these Forever21 jeans for like agessssss. Seriously. I decided I wanted to give another go though, and I'm so glad I did. I love 'em. I felt like they needed some revamping, though, so I cut some holes in the knees. I personally, love them more now that they have the holes but my Mom thinks I'm nuts. ;)

Anyone remember that song?  I sure do. I remember my good old "Wizard's of Waverly Place" days fondly. Back in the day, more like 6 years ago ;), I was a huge Selena fan. I loved her in "Wizards" and she was pretty much the inspiration for my entire high school wardrobe, I mean, the girl and I are age twinners.

Ok, well, I don't know if I even got across what I was trying to say at all. I'm pretty sure that whole conversation up there was just a bunch of weird...weirdness. Let's move on. I'm soooooo in love with this floppy hat from ChicWish. It's the best. I'm kind of a mild hat fanatic. I have a crazy amount of beanies, slouchy berets, fedoras, trucker hats, and now, floppy hats. I can already envision a million and one more ways to wear this baby, and I cannot wait.

I O-fficially have six days left of being 21! I have to say, I'm actually pretty excited to turn 22. It just seems like such a nice number. Twenty-two. Tweeeeeenty-two. I sure like the sound of that! Young but not too young. I like it. I've also really liked 21, though. It was a good age! I'm going to really soak in these last six days of 21! Now for the fun stuff! The winner of the $160 ASOS gift card is...Danielle Pelton! YAY! Keep an eye out for an email from me in the next day or so! Now, in celebration of my birthday coming up I'm makin' a teensy weensy little wish list. ;) Ya know, for anyone who feels like sending me anything, because, ya know, we're just that close. The reader/blogger relationship is a close one, guys. It is. ;) Unfortunately, I'm too lazy to upload photos of everything so you'll just have to trust my descriptions and marvelous taste. ;)

This black midi skirt is. to die. for. I love that sheer panel near the hem. So delicate. So pretty. Pair it with chunky healed brown leather sandals and a white blouse? Ladylike beauty!

This striped dress would be the best basic. Cozy cardi, sandals, and a floppy hat? Perfection. 

This handbag is the perfect spring accessory! Love the color, love the size! It'd look sooo cute with the striped bodycon dress and a pair of pumps!

These sandals? Uggggg. Per. Fection. With the black midi skirt I linked above? Mmm. Beautiful combo. Or. OR. With a pair of light washed jeans and a white tee? Hallelu!

 This pair of wedges, no words necessary. Mmm. Mmm.
