You know what's super uber annoying? When you're just peacefully minding your own business and your brain goes, "You know what we haven't thought of in a long time? That one time that super embarrassing thing happened. Heehee. You should think of that now." That's been happening to me this whoooooole week. It's like, "Thank you brain, that's exactly what I needed right now. It's not like I just barely got over being embarrassed by that or anything." Super annoying but ce la vie, right? Also, I have some preeeeeetty exciting life news to share with you all but I'm going to be super annoying by doing that thing where I tell you I have super exciting news but I don't actually say what the news is. So ha! ;) Just kidding. I'm only holding off on announcing it because, ummmmm, as with all things in life I want to have cute announcement photos to go with it! (No, I'm not pregnant. Sickos. I'm not even married.;)

In case you couldn't tell by the fact that I've posted twice in a row about it, I love this coat! It's seriously the perfect basic coat. It goes well with everything, and I mean EVERYTHING! Not to mention it's all sorts of warm. In fact, I suddenly don't hate the cold as much anymore from how bundled up this baby keeps me. Who knew all I needed to get accustomed to the cold, these past 18 years of living in Utah, was to get over my "this-outfit-is-too-cute-to-ruin-with-an-annoying-coat" thing? Go figure. ;) Also, this leather skirt. It's UH-mazing! This is my first time actually posting about it but I've pretty much been wearing it like crazy since I got it way back in September. Is it crazy that September is already considered "way back"? Also, guys, camel and black? Best color combo in the history of color combos. Aaaand, leather and wool? B-E-A-UTIFUL. (Bruce Almighty reference anyone?)
The part in my hair was freaky deaky in this post. Like, majorly. It's tooooootally cool, though. Totally. ;) Also, I'm just like the most boring person on Earth today because I have absolutely nothing interesting to say. I spent the day typing up 50% of my essays for my BYU transfer application, and guys, trying to sum up the most difficult experiences of my life in 250 words or less is INsanely difficult! Before I knew it, I had typed up a beautifully magnificent, and albeit, verbose 680 word essay. Whoops. Half way through trying to get rid of 430 of those words, with the help of my awesome sister, I felt like giving up, erasing the whole thing, and simply typing, "the hardest experience of my life has been trying to describe the hardest experience of my life in 250 words or less and what I have learned is that all that fancy shmancy vocabulary they taught me in school has proved to be more of a hindrance than a help. Now accept me into yo school!" Course, if I actually went through with typing that they'd probably just think I was an uneducated git. ;) I like the word, git. I'm not quite sure if it's just a mere insult or if it's also a bit of a "potty word", to use layman's terms, but it's said allllll the time in Harry Potter and I'm sure J.K. wouldn't put it in the books if it were bad. Right? Right? I put too much stock by Harry Potter. ;)
Tshirts and boyfriend jeans ma dudes. They're the best. They're like the all seasons staple. No matter what season it is, a tshirt and boyfriend jeans will always look good. The thing about boyfriend jeans, though, is that they don't always look so hot on the beeeehind. It's totally ok with me, though, because I don't want anyone lookin' at ma butt anyway. Also, remember this bag? It's my "smells-like-green-baby-poop" bag! In case you hadn't noticed, I've been using it allllls da times. Not even ashamed. Oh, and, bonus! The baby poop smell is starting to go away! Yaaaaay!!! Let's all celebrate!
Sooo, Fall is like, around the corner or something, right? ;) I know I said this week was going to be dedicated to the last of my "end of Summer" outfits but seeing as yesterday was the first of September I figured today was as good a day as any to post one of my first "Fall" looks! It's funny how grown up lipstick can make ya look! Because, um, waddya know I actually look like a fully fledged woman in these photos! Wild, right? Especially since on a day to day basis when alls I wear is a touch of blush and eyebrow filler (I've given up on eyeliner) I tend to look more like a 12 year old. Well, not 12, but certainly not 22. In fact, the other day one of my co-workers accosted me in the break room with, "WHAT?! You're twenty-TWO? I thought you were eighteen or nineteen!" Aforementioned co-worker then proceeded to attack another co-worker of ours that was also in the break room with, "This girl does not look twenty-two to you, does she? Does she?" Maybe I should wear lipstick into work sometime. Too bad I don't actually own any, and this was my sister's lipstick that I was playing around with! Also, I tried out this whole "contouring" with makeup business in these photos and I must say it turned out a lot cooler than I thought it would. I seriously thought contouring would just make it look like I had two random brown streaks on my cheeks and like I had a beard or something. Interestingly, this wasn't the case. ;) Maybe there really is something to this contouring thing.

I was going for a 60s "French girl" look with this outfit, and might I say I think I accomplished it! Also, my armpits were also going very "French" if you catch my drift. ;) I'm so lazy when it comes to shaving. It's so bad. Oh well. Also, I'm sooo glad that berets are making a come back this Fall season because I've been buying those babies like made since like, 2010, and I was pretty bummed that they were on the outsies for a while there. Not that that stopped me from wearing them, but now I'll look a little more normal and a little less like a pretentious hipster when I wear 'em. I know I've said this like a thousand and one times...but Haley is flippin' bomb. I mean, how awesome did these photos turn out? They're like a genuine sixties flash back. Not to mention that I credit the fact that this lipstick actually looks good and doesn't make me look like a total moron, to her extreme photographing abilities. ;)
I'm totally and completely having "Being Human" withdrawals. I misssssss it. Boohoohoo. I need a rebound show. Stat. In fact, I've been on the hunt for one...with little success. A TV series ending is completely and one hundred percent like going through a break up. It's all you think about, you keep replaying the ending in your head over and over again, you miss it, wish it was still on, and are constantly looking for something to replace it. Yep. I completely just compared TV to a real life relationship. "Nerd, nerd, nerd." she says as she as kind of wants to delete the last few sentences. ;) Oh well. Give me palette cleanser rebound show suggestions guys! I'm testing out Heroes, I vaguely remember it being all the rage when I was in middle school, and Scandal right now. Neither one is sticking, but hey, maybe in a few episodes. I guess there's that saying, "never judge a show by it's first episode." Well, I'm done over sharing my couch potato TV addict tendencies.
I'm so in love with this hat you guys. So in love. It's THE perfect Spring/Summer accessory. Also, remember how I mentioned that I'm mildly obsessed with dual toned looks lately? Whelp, here's further proof. ;) I mean, what's more fun than mixing neutrals? Nothin' I tell ya. Especially since there was a time when I was convinced that brown and black didn't match. A pfft. A pfft. I was cray. Way cray. Black and brown are a combo made in heaven! I've also really been drawn to the simple looks lately too. Basic pieces like tees and skinny jeans with spunkier pieces like this wide brimmed fedora and metallic sandals, which, coincidentally, I've been wearing almost everyday. Seriously, these metallic sandals where like, the best birthday present ever! I am fully appreciating this warmer weather in them! :)
