Any Way I Can
leather jacket: h&m
mock neck top: F21
suede skirt: c/o OASAP (sold out) basically identical version here
tights: h&m
booties: F21
Told ya guys I was back for realsies. ;) Anyhow, thoughts, thoughts. There's so many! Let's start with throwing it out there that Conference was stinkin' awesome. Yeah? Yeah. I'll pretend like you can all ja feel with me as I'm typing this because it was. There will be more on that later, though. BUT, if you do care to read a more spiritual post written by yours truly please go check out Foundation Magazine! Oh and because this isn't an essay -thank HEAVENS- I'm not even going to bother to try and connect that former thought with the one that's coming next. Partly because I'm lazy but mostly because they don't even match and I full on sat here for ten minutes trying to figure out how to make this post flow and I just flat out gave up because it's a futile task. You're welcome. ;)
Kay, now for what I'm actually trying to get at, you know how every gym -and I mean EVERY gym- has that one weirdo that dances like a freak while they work out? Go on, think about it. Picture your gym in your minds eye and you'll realize your gym has one. It's just a thing that happens. If there's a gym, there's a dancing weirdo. Some gyms even get blessed with a handful of them, one for the morning, midday, and evening gym goers to enjoy chuckling at. Mostly these "dancing-while-they-work-out" weirdos stick to the elliptical because sliding your legs forward and backward ferociously is already half way to major jammin'. All you have to do is throw in some booty shakes and arm jives and you're basically at Beyonce-Back-Up-Dancer status on that thing.
Anyway, the reason I even bring this up is because I've slowly started to realize that the dancing weirdo at my university's gym is...me. Yup. And, freak, I don't even need an elliptical. Doing my plyometric workouts? You best believe I'm jammin' before/in between/during/after every single dang jump squat, box jump, lunge etc. What about arms day, you ask? Pffft. Pffft. Where there's a will there's a way. I'm talking booty shaking in between push ups, and head bouncing to ma sick jams during tricep dips. I know I probably look insane, but I just can't care enough to stop. So...yeah, that was basically the extent of that thought. Can we think of a prettier way to end this, though? How about, "Ima do me, and you do you"? Or, "dance to the beat of your own drum"? Nah, I actually hate both of those statements with a passion so because this is technically a style blog we'll end this post with, this leather jacket is ma jam lately and this skirt is tiny and should therefore be retired but it's still majorly cute. (<-Run on sentence. I have learned nothing in my bazillion years of schooling, clearly.;)
Much love!

MisterWives
Guys, I just got through my last midterm and it feels pretty dang righteous! Seriously, now I get a nice easy-ish week. Yum! Also, I've seriously started looking into getting certified to ride a motorcycle and BUYING one. Not even kidding. I just made it a goal this year to tackle exciting things and that is number one on my list right now. Also, nothing lights a fire under my butt like a challenge and I want to show the world that just because they all see me as all "frou, frou, I live on a rainbow" that doesn't mean that I'm not 100% capable of doing tough things. Anyway, yeah. My laptop is being a real turd right now and keeps shutting down every two minutes so I have to keep this brief.

How to Wear Printed Leggings with AERIE
jacket: Betsey Johnson via Nordstrom
top: F21
leggings: c/o aerie
shoes: American Eagle
beanie: American Eagle
photos: Shailynn
I'm so, so, so excited for today's post! Aerie recently sent me a pair of their new printed leggings to style and since printed leggings are so huge this season I decided I'd show you guys three different ways to style them! For my first look I wanted to go for something a little "dressed up casual". Or in other words, something you could wear to meet up with friends and get into nightly shenanigans like we youngins like to do. ;) The key to this look was keeping the leggings fun without looking like I was just too lazy to put on pants. Nothing says "put-together-cool" like a biker jacket so I knew I wanted to go with my Betsey Johnson moto jacket. To keep the leather from being too intense with the pattern of the leggings I added a little neutral texture with my denim top and finished off the look with some fun pops of color with my hot pink beanie and gold sneaks!
Look 2//Running Late & Errand Day
leggings: c/o aerie
crossbody bag: F21
shoes: American Eagle
readers: Aldo
We all have those days when it seems like we have a hug laundry list of errands to run and not enough time to do them. It's for those days that leggings are perfect! They're so easy to just throw on, look cute, and be comfy. Especially these aerie leggings, the pattern makes them a cute "no fuss" closet item and they're super duper stretchy! Not to mention that all you have to do to complete a lazy day look with these babies is throw on a cozy sweater and you're ready to be out the door because that fun pattern will do all the work! Now, the key to this look was keeping everything simple. Understated stacked rings, simple cross body bag, messy braid, and a pair of cute reader glasses because, um, we all know fake glasses are a requirement for a cute lazy day look! ;)
Look 3//Yoga Class
shawl: F21
henley: abercrombie (super old)
leggings: c/o aerie
photos: Shailynn
For my last look I decided to do a styled Yoga look, because that's sort of what leggings were made for in the first place right? This was probably the most fun of the looks to shoot just because doing some the yoga poses I've been working on was such a blast! It's also such a help to see the photos and see how I need to work on pointing my toes more and fully extending on my shoulder stand! Yoga is all about years long practice, though, so with work I will get there! Anyway, for this look I wanted to keep it soft and layered so I went for this soft pink henley tee that I've had for ages and this light as a feather shawl thingy! Also, I have to say practicing Yoga in these leggings was such a breeze! They allowed me to really move and weren't restrictive in anyway! I highly suggest you all get yourselves a pair especially since aerie is having a BOGO for $10 sale right now! I hope you enjoyed the three different looks! Hopefully it gives you a little inspiration on how to style printed leggings and a big thank you to aerie for sponsoring this post!
Much love!

Tongues
You guys are just going to have to forgive me but I'm a total outfit repeater. I know I already posted a look with this lovely maxi skirt last week, but it's just too pretty to not post twice. Also, in real life we wear things waaaaay more than just once, so I'm just bein' real. ;) Also, do you guys ever get tongue pimples? Ya know the occasional weird tiny pump on the edge or tip of the tongue that's all sensitive and annoying? Well, I gots one on the edge of my tongue on Sunday and it's been bugging me ever since. I can't eat, chew, or speak in peace without the dang thing rubbin' up on my teeth and hurting. Somehow I feel like this is something my mouthwash should have prevented? I don't know. It sure is annoying as butt, though. Also, I can't even begin to explain how much it ROCKS to not have to wash any makeup off at night now that I have my eyelash extensions! (If you missed yesterday's post, check it here and take advantage of the coupon I'm offering!) It's seriously the BEST feeling in the world to just be able to crawl into bed without having to think, "Urrrrrr, I still have to wash my face....", BEST feeling ever. Also, getting ready in the mornings is way more fun now because all I have to do is do ma hurrs and pick out an outfit and then I'm left with all this extra time to just dilly dally and laze about! Which, come on, we all know dilly dallying and lazing about in the mornings is the best thing in the world! ;)

Even, though, we're still technically still in the grip of summer we all know we're starting to have Fall on our minds and with that comes thoughts of Fall Fashion. One of my first ways to start transitioning a touch of Fall into my wardrobe every year is by mixing my leather jackets into otherwise very summery looks! I love, love, love, the look of a maxi with a leather jacket! Also, forgive my creepy hair. I totally look like a bald baby. Whatevs. Babies are cute. Right? ;) Anyway, creepy hair aside, these are some of my fave photos by Rachel! It's so fun how sometimes you can find cool places for photos in the most random places!
Much love!

Because I'm...Batman!
Remember how I mentioned yesterday that I was hording up the Batman trilogy in my room? Well, I just started my little tete-a-tete with The Bat. Man, I love those movies. Most well done super hero movies ever. EVER. Also, I have a sweet spot for them because back in middle school my little sister and I used to have a bit of a crush (ok, a MAJOR crush) on Christian Bale. SUCH. A babe. I remember the summer in between eighth and ninth grade she and I ordered EVERY Christian Bale movie available on Netflix. Of course, this was back when Netflix only mailed DVD's out to you. Heehee, DVD mailing. ;) Anyway, that summer we watched everything Christian Bale. Well, excepting "American Psycho". Understandably, my dad had us send it back the second he realized we had ordered it. Course, we had no idea that "American Psycho" wasn't exactly a friendly movie, although, we should've guessed by the fact that it has the word "psycho" in the title. Anyway, he didn't want us to, get ready a Batman quote is coming up, "burden ourselves with the secrets of scary men". Anyway, JUST watched the Christian Bale "push up" scene in "Batman Begins". MmmmMmmm, biceps. ;) Also, Katie Holmes is AAAAdorable in the movie!

I know you can't see it, but it was totally raining on me during this shoot! (Ok, more like sprinkling;) It was actually kind of funny because I had put together this outfit as my "rainy summer day" look. :) Leather jackets are the perfect way to keep the chills away on a rainy summer day! They're thick enough to keep you warm but thin enough to keep you from getting too hot. Also, I'm OBsessed with this jacket. Remember how I had mentioned a while back that I had gotten a Betsey Johnson leather jacket when Nordstrom was having their super sale? Well, this is the jacket! It. Is. Killer. I know I'm going to be wearing it NON-STOP when Fall hits! Anyway, I thought the perfect way to keep the look still light and summery would be to pair it with some slouchy boyfriend shorts, a bright bag, and heart shaped mirrored sunnies! Which, by the way, this is the third pair of sunnies I got in Vegas, and I luuuurve them! I think the heart shape is just so fun for summer! Oh, and this bag? My sissy and I fell in love with it when we stopped by the Aldo's in Vegas and decided we should go halfsies on it and split the cost!
Much love!
"Do you even LIFT Mr. Wayne?"
The point, Alfred, was to watch Christian Bale do pushups. ;)
