Holiday Guide

Holiday Guide: Sequins

With the holidays just right around the corner (can you believe it?! This year has FLOWN by!) I thought I'd start putting together some shopping guides for you all to get the juices flowing for ideas on gifts for family or friends and ideas for what to get for yourselves for the season's must-haves! I thought I'd start off with a shopping guide for sequins because year after year sequin pieces are the go to items for Holiday wear, whether it's a sequined dress for the various Christmas parties we all commit to or a sassy pair of sequined pants for a fun NYE look! Even if you feel a pair of gold sequined pants is too much for you there are SO many smaller and equally as cute ways to incorporate sequins! Aerie has got THE cutest sequined accessories right now ranging from cute sequined bralettes that are great peek-a-boo layering pieces to cute sequined infinity scarves that are a great way to add a mild pop of sequined fun! Not to mention those cute sequined undies (not that anybody would see them, but whatever, you'd know you're wearing them and I guarantee they'd make you feel more sparkly!). Anyway, down below I'm going to link some more of my sequined faves including blazers, dresses, pants, etc! Aaaaaand I won't lie, some  of those items may already be on their way into my closet via UPS. ;)

I hope you all enjoy my picks and get yerselves some sequined magic! Aaaaand don't forget that Forever 21 is offering free shipping on any purchases at or above $30 and they've got a stellar 50% off Fall pieces sale going on that you won't want to miss!

Much love!

Remember Remember the 5th of November

Guys, Christmas season is pretty much upon us!! I'm SOOOOO excited about it! Christmas is my favorite time of year, you guys! It makes me so crazy excited and giddy, I love it! Also, also, "Selfie", you guys! Are any of you watching it?! If you aren't, START. It's so crazy good and I think I'm a little bit in crush with Henry. Aaaaaalso, yesterday was November the 5th! Do you all know what that means? It means it was Guy Fawkes day in England which means it was watch "V for Vendetta" day for me here in the U.S. Holla!!! Also, Tuesday was Election Day and I hope you all took the time to vote, it's important! I'm preeeeeetty unhappy with the results overall as well as the results in my state but whatevs, ce la vie, we can't have it all.

I'm totally not usually the body-hugging-clothing-wearing type of girl because although my jeans may say zero nobody seems to have told my butt and hips that because I've got birthing hips ready to pop out a 9lb baby and a bootay that's freakishly out there. One of my fellow blogger pals convinced me to just go for it with this dress, though, so I took her advice and took the plunge. Let me tell you all, it was scary. I'm still even kind of nervous posting this outfit because of how booty toochy (thank you Tyra for coining that fabulous phrase!) these photos are. Even, though, I'm still a little nervous about wearing such a booty toochy dress, I do have to say the dress itself is pretty fab! It's crazy soft, and I love it's color! I feel like it'll be perfect for Winter (dare I even speak of that horrid season?). Do you all remember the boutique I mentioned in Monday's post? Well, this dress is another gem from that boutique! If you're a Utah local check em out!

Much love!

Perfect Fall Color Combo: Burgundy & Cognac

When I first got and posted about my i-do clip in hair extensions by Laced Hair I promised you all a post after a few months of wearing them to let you all know how they were holding up. I figured today was as good a time as any to do that, especially since Crystal from LC Photography made ma hurrs look friggin' bomb in these photos! It's been about four months since I first got my extensions and I have to say I still love them as much, if not more, than I did when I first got them! They're still crazy soft, maybe not silky soft like they were the first few weeks but that's to be expected after four months of usage. They are by no means "unsoft" (I know that's not a word) or ratty like my old EuroNext ones got, though! I've only had to wash them once since I got them and that was probably at about the three month mark. Now, I know that might sound gross but since extensions aren't attached to your head they don't get as oily as real hair so they don't need to be washed very often. Plus, they'll last longer if you're not washing them every week. When I first washed them I was a little worried that washing them might ruin their texture or thin them out but I was totally wrong to worry! Now, I know most people recommend using a heat protectant spray when using heat on extensions but I've honestly never done it. They have gotten some split ends because of it but I honestly don't mind in the slightest. I'm actually glad they've gotten a few split ends here and there because they blend SO much better with my natural hair because of it! Cuuuuzzzzz, I don't know about you guys, but I don't have crazy shiny split end free hair and having hair that has a bunch of split ends in the middle but absolutely none at the ends kinda looks weird! Anyway, four months in I'm still obsessed with my extensions and couldn't be happier with their quality! If you're thinking about getting clip-in extensions I highly recommend these babies! And if you're worried about getting extensions that are too long or feel like won't blend well with the length of your hair don't even worry about it! Long extensions can look good on EVERYBODY as long as they're clipped in correctly. If you clip them in the right way, trust me, they will blend perfectly with your natural hair no matter what length your hair is! If any of you are interested in a tutorial on how to clip extensions in the right way let me know!

I know I've posted about a hundred and one outfits with these overalls but I'm just so obsessed with them and how versatile they are! For today's overalls look I wanted to keep it super casual and cozy. To keep it comfy cozy I went with this chunky knit cardigan, casual striped tee, over sized cognac leather tote bag, and glittery gold sneakers for a little extra pizazz. Now, before I rap up this post I have to give a shout out to the ladies of LC Photography! This has been one of my favorite shoots to date, and Crystal captured everything perfectly! These ladies are seriously crazy talented and crazy friendly so definitely get in touch with them if you're in need of photos!

Much love!

Bom Diggidy

Guys, I'm a cartoon girl at heart. I'd rather watch a good cartoon over other types of tv shows any day. Especially Avatar: The Last Airbender. That show is the realest. The day they took it off of Netflix was the worst day of my young life. Not really, but close. ;) Also, have any of you heard of the movie, "Begin Again"? It's got Keira Knightly, Mark Ruffalo, and Adam Levine in it and it was flippin AWWWesome!! Also, the soundtrack? It's the bom diggidy! (I know, I know, no one says bomdiggidy anymore. Sue me.;) Seriously, it's like Adam Levine from "Songs About Jane" again, ya know, before he got all annoying and weird. ;) Also, I just have to throw this out there because it's been on my mind a lot the last couple of months, I'm REALLY feelin' being 22! It's been a really snazzy age. Also, is it just me or is getting in the shower SUPER hard? I don't mean logistically, I mean like getting yourself to stop being too lazy to do it. I feel like this happens to me ALL the time. I get too comfy doing whatever I'm doing and I have to FORCE myself to get in. Course, once I'm in the shower I never want to get out. It's too dang relaxing in there. I guess it's kind of like sleeping. No one ever wants to go to bed but once they're in there they never want to wake up and get out.

Guys, I'm in love with this fuzzy sweater from She Inside! It's seriously THE softest thing I've ever worn! I feel like a fluffy little polar bear when I wear it! It's the best! I've dubbed it the Fuzz Monster. You all need one. Not even kidding, you will put it on and feel like you're wearing pillows and clouds, puppies and babies. Ok, maybe that last combo is a little creepy, but my point is you will love it. I also LOVE pairing baggy sweaters over dresses! It's such a great way to re-fashion a dress and give it more life! Not to mention it's like the ultimate "relaxed-adorable-girl-next-door-I-just-threw-this-on" outfit! Now let's talk about that AMAZEballs bag and adorable necklace! I got them at a new boutique that just opened in SugarHouse called, Sage Boutique! Guys, their stuff is SO adorable, I had such a hard time picking out just a few things! The moment I saw this bag, though, I knew it had to come home with me! The color is just so dang pretty and it'll be so fun to style come Winter because it'll stand out so much! All of you Utah local readers NEED to stop by and check them out, they're located at 1950 S 1100 E SLC, UT 84106!

Much love!

SALE SATURDAY

Hi guys! I hope you all had a happy and safe Halloween!! I just wanted to stop by real quick today to share some of the Halloween sales that are going down this weekend as well as some of my top picks because they are preeeeeetty fab and you won't want to miss them!

(Be sure to click the side arrows to scroll through all of my picks!)

Guys, that pink moto jacket! Tell me it isn't divine! Also, those wine colored boots? OBsessed! AND, the fedora! It's gray color makes it a perfect Fall/Winter Staple!

Honestly, Steve Madden's 25% off couldn't have come at a better time! With Winter right around the corner (there's snow in the forecast for Sunday here in Utah!) it's time to start thinking about how we're going to keep our feetsies warm in style! And when it comes to boots I've learned the hard way that it pays off to invest in a solid pair of boots that will last season after season rather than skimping and having to spend $40+ every year on a new pair of boots. Trust me, splurge on the nice pair that will last you for years to come!

This sale is probably the one I'm most excited about. You guys know how obsessed I am with good ole F21. Sad but true. ;) Anyway, they're really pulling out all the stops this year! That reversible sherpa vest is pretty much the EXACT copy of the anthropologie one except it's over half the price! Cha-ching! Also, that sweater with the little peek-a-boo lace? So romantically pretty! Oh and don't even get me started on the wine colored fedora and vest! I'm in love with wine colored anything this year and those two pieces HAVE to make their way into my closet!

I hope you all enjoyed my picks! Here are some more links to more awesome sales and happy shopping!
