Treat Yo Self

Soooo, I totally treated myself to a gazillion beauty treatments the other day. I went wild. I don't know what got into me. I think I was just feeling like I really needed to do some nice "make myself look rulls hot" things. I just needed some pampering after a month of crazy hard work! Plus, I wanted to look really nice for spring break. Sooo, confession time? I got my lashes done with the ADORABLE Nicole of Layers n Lashes, a spray tan with the AMAZING Leslie of Get Glowing, and a brow and bikini wax at EuroWax SLC! This was all after these photos were snapped so you'll have to wait till next week to see the fully tanned, glamazoned "Allexis 2.0"! Or just follow me on Insta and SnapChat, which you'll want to do anyway so you can keep up on my spring break adventures! Guys, it's going to be so great! I've seriously been looking forward to this trip since mid January! It's exactly what I've been needing! Also, I will give you all a full low down on all of these amazing treatments in the next couple of days!!

How awesome is this maxi skirt and sweater combo? Buhcause, I'm loving it! That's one of my favorite things about transition seasons like Spring and Fall, you get to combine closet items from different seasons and it's AMAZE! Also, what's better than pastel blues and peachy pinks? No thang but a chicken wang! ;) Also, these photos were snapped by the AWESOME Brittany of Measure of Attire! She is seriously THE best and the day we snapped these photos we went out to get some snackage and just bum around Provo. Twas the best!! Also, I know the sweater I linked down below looks blue but I promise it's the exact sweater I'm wearing above, I just couldn't get the image to show up in the peach color that I'm wearing!

Much love!

Once

Kay, are any of you guys watching "Once Upon a Time"? I totally am, and I'm looooving it! I don't care what anybody says, I'm huge fan of "Frozen" so I love that they're doing a whole story line based on Anna and Elsa. Basically, I'm just a sucker for anything about sisterhood, though, so that's why I love Frozen so stinkin' much. Also, Captain Hook? Talk about MmmMmm good. ;) Aaaaaaalso, whoever said a 5'3 girl couldn't put up a 9foot tree never met me. I've got the scabbed bloody hands to prove that it's possible. I'm not even kidding, after spreading out all of those stupid branches my hands were a bloody scabby mess. Christmas joy, right? ;) Also, I've been jamming out to Michael Buble's and David Archuleta's Christmas albums nonstop, holla! I love Christmas. So much! Also, on a completely unrelated and sort of mean note, I helped a customer with butt breath today and I hated him. Stupid butt breath man. Kay, sorry, I just had to let that out. I'm done being mean.

Kay, I just have to preface any outfit talk by saying, I HATE winter coats. I never wear them. I think they're a hindrance more than anything else and I would rather suffer through cold than ruin a cute outfit with a coat. This year, though, that all changed. I looked through my sister's closet full of all of these GORGEOUS coats and I thought, "Man, I'm stupid. Coats are cool. Coats are fancy. Coats are puuuuurrrrdy." Sooooo, I got a coat. Aaaaand, I sort of love it. I decided to go with a thick camel coat because I knew it would be a timeless classic that would go well with EVERYTHING, and it does. Plus, I don't know if you guys knew this or not, buuuuuut coats are WARM. You're welcome for sharing that piece of hitherto unknown gold with you all. ;) Anyway, if you're in the market for a winter coat this baby will cover ya! Plusss, there's 30% off Old Navy items with the code CHEER until the end of today!

Much love!

Remember Remember the 5th of November

Guys, Christmas season is pretty much upon us!! I'm SOOOOO excited about it! Christmas is my favorite time of year, you guys! It makes me so crazy excited and giddy, I love it! Also, also, "Selfie", you guys! Are any of you watching it?! If you aren't, START. It's so crazy good and I think I'm a little bit in crush with Henry. Aaaaaalso, yesterday was November the 5th! Do you all know what that means? It means it was Guy Fawkes day in England which means it was watch "V for Vendetta" day for me here in the U.S. Holla!!! Also, Tuesday was Election Day and I hope you all took the time to vote, it's important! I'm preeeeeetty unhappy with the results overall as well as the results in my state but whatevs, ce la vie, we can't have it all.

I'm totally not usually the body-hugging-clothing-wearing type of girl because although my jeans may say zero nobody seems to have told my butt and hips that because I've got birthing hips ready to pop out a 9lb baby and a bootay that's freakishly out there. One of my fellow blogger pals convinced me to just go for it with this dress, though, so I took her advice and took the plunge. Let me tell you all, it was scary. I'm still even kind of nervous posting this outfit because of how booty toochy (thank you Tyra for coining that fabulous phrase!) these photos are. Even, though, I'm still a little nervous about wearing such a booty toochy dress, I do have to say the dress itself is pretty fab! It's crazy soft, and I love it's color! I feel like it'll be perfect for Winter (dare I even speak of that horrid season?). Do you all remember the boutique I mentioned in Monday's post? Well, this dress is another gem from that boutique! If you're a Utah local check em out!

Much love!

Oldies

I saw the grossest thing at work the other day. I don't even know why I'm sharing it with you guys because it was seriously disgusting. But, eh, I've never been one to be discreet on here so here goes. I was just being a good little ol' worker mindin' my own business when in walks this customer with a limp. I noticed he had an arm behind his back so I thought there might have been something wrong with his arm too. BUT, as he walked away I got a glance at his backside and his limp was being caused by a very thorough butt scratching!!! So foul, right?! I bet you all hate me now for sharing that lovely little gem! In other news, my yoga subscription ends next Tuesday and I'm thoroughly depressed! Boo! Also, I love old people. I really, really do. If it were solely up to me and not a little bit creepy all my best friends would be old people. They're just so dang nice, and equally as deaf, clueless, and slow moving as I am. ;)

I love, love, love, mixing textures and one of my favorite ways of doing that is by mixing denim with plaid! It's understated yet fun! If you're wanting to experiment with mixing textures this is definitely a mix to start you off with! It's also fun to do it with the plaid over the denim. I had also been dying to do another post with this lovely tulle skirt because I haven't worn it nearly enough!

Much love!

Liz On Top of the World

Hi guys! How were your weekends? Mine was soooo good! If you follow me on Instagram than you'll already know that my weekend rocked because of General Conference. For those of you who don't know what General Conference is it's a semiannual meeting of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, held every April and October during which we have the chance to hear the words of the living prophets! It really is so inspiring, uplifting, and comforting. I've never finished a session not having questions answered, fears quieted, and hurt feelings assuaged. If you're in need of any of these things as well, I invite you to not hesitate to stop by lds.org to seek the balm of the words from living prophets. I promise you, you will find comfort! The talks that stood out the most to me were Elder Oaks', Elder Klebingat's, Elder Holland's, and Elder Bednard's! Anyway, my spirit has been replenished and strengthened and I feel SO ready for this week! My spirit is pumped! Also, there's something to be said about spending an entire day in one's house completely make-up free, with sweats on, and a messy top knot. It pretty much rocks.

Guys, I really hope this doesn't sound cocky or anything, but I'm DYING over these photos! Not because of how I look or anything vain like that, but because of the COLORS, the COMPOSITION, the LIGHTING, my gosh! I got to meet up with the stupendous Raquel after General Conference on Saturday and snap these and I'm seriously blown away by how talented she is! Not to mention how incredibly friendly and fun she is! I love being able to get to know and work with fellow Latinas! It really is incredible how technology can bring people together. This year alone I've been able to meet and befriend so many amazing/talented people just through instagram! Sounds crazy, right?! Anyway, one of my favorite things about Fall is mixing and matching traditionally Summer pieces with Fall pieces like pairing a maxi skirt with a sweater! It is seriously one of my favorite things to do. It lets me lengthen the life of some the pieces in my wardrobe and keeps things feeling like they're new! Another one of my favorite things about Fall is wearing booties! Seriously, they're everything. There are so many different kinds of booties in terms of heel or no heel, color, cut, etc. The possibilities are endless! I picked up these nude ones at Aldo's (they were on clearance for $30!) and I've pretty much been wearing them non-stop. They go with everything and the chunky heel keeps them comfortable and practical! If you're in the market for a nude bootie (which, you should be;) I highly recommend these babies! They are unfortunately sold out, though, but I've linked the Target option below that look almost identical!

Much love!
