Sleep Zombie
Guys, I am 100% the type of person that needs to have all technology snatched from her hands the moment the clock strikes 10:00. Mostly because after 10 o'clock I just can't be judged to actually be fully coherent or even fully aware of what the crap I'm talking about it. I swear, it's like my body goes into autopilot and I turn into a half asleep zombie that types up super weird posts and shoots off nonsensical texts. I think I've mentioned before that I've had problems with sleep texting a couple of times. Moments when I'd wake up randomly in the night, grab my phone, and type up a weird text message to someone. Like, legit weird and not even coherent. Most of the time I failed to hit send so I was saved the embarrassment of having to explain to people why I sent them a weird text about flying squid or something equally as random at 2 in the morning. The funny thing is, though, that in the moment I think I'm being a complete genius, like I've just typed up the most brilliant beyond brilliant message. It's soooooooo bad, haha. Anyway, yeah, that's that. Never let me touch a phone or computer once I reach my "half asleep" mode. The results are not pretty. ;)

Christmas, Christmas, Christmas! I could shout that from the rooftops! Seriously. I love this time of year even more than my birthday! Anyway, today I just wanted to share a classic holiday outfit with you all. Nothing livens up a classic black midi skirt like a champagne sequined top and bold berry lip. It's a classy yet simple way to get easily glammed up for a holiday event! Also, I just have to say again that Rachel and I had so much fun creepin' around The Grand America for this shoot! It was so great and as far as photographers go I highly recommend her, so seriously, go follow her on IG and BOOK her!
Much love!

This skirt is my new fav, guys. The number of compliments I got on it when I wore it on Sunday was astounding. The colors are fabulous and that delicate butterfly pattern slays me. Ughhhh, and the material? Soft perfection! Chic Wish does it again. Seriously, their midi skirt line is SO on point this season. This rose print one is perfection in a floral print, oh and this lime green cinched waist one would look like a dream with a white graphic tee and a pair of Keds a la hipster Taylor Swift. Yeah, I'm obsessed! Oh, and don't forget that you all get 30% off of your first purchase, so clicky click on their ad to the right of my page and snap up some of these fab, fab, skirts! I mean, $36 for a fantabulous midi skirt, plus 30% off, PLUS free shipping? Y'all be straight up foo's if ya don't get one. ;) See what fabulous skirts do to me?? They bring out my thug talk! Anyway, I couldn't possibly feel anymore lady like in this baby, I love it! What with my thug talk and my fancy get up you could say I'm like a modern day "My Fair Lady". ;)
Much love!

I Wish I Had Dentures...Seriously
Guys, I'm at my wits end. Every time I try to post the gorgeous photos shot by my lovely bestie, all I get is blurriness! I don't get it, when I see them in the body of my post WHILE I'm working on it they look totally fine but the second I hit publish it's like welcome to grainy city! I don't know whats wrong, I've tried everything I know. I'm completely miffed. Suggestions welcome. Suggestions very, very, welcome! In the mean time, though, just pretend these aren't fuzzier than a puppy's belly. :) Also, I'm quite certain every single one of my teeth is suffering from a condition known as...cavities...dun, dun, dun. It's sad really. Why do I have such a big sweet tooth?! WHHHHYYYY? Honestly, sometimes I think it'd be simpler to just have a bunch of fake teeth. I know, I know, creepy. I mean, I love my teeth and all, but I just worry about them too much, and I'd rather not. In other less disgusting news, though, I had a lovely day celebrating my mama yesterday! We all had such a spiritual and deeply emotional day showing her just how much we love and appreciate her. She is truly such an inspiring and incredible woman! Ohhhhh, and as an added bonus we got to Skype with my baby sister who is currently serving her LDS mission in Canada! It was so great seeing her! She looked so radiant and happy!

In outfit related news, what's more Springy than a flower crown and flowy pink skirt? Nothin' I tell ya. I'm so, so, in love with all of these pieces! Which, to be honest, I got during my "I'm crazy" shopping binge last month...It's May, though, and I am holding out strong! I guess it's only the twelfth, though, so it might still be a little early for celebrations. Regardless, I'm trying my best! :) Aaaaaaaand, that's pretty much all I have for you today. I know, I'm so boring. It's Monday, though, I dare you to have anything more interesting to say. ;) I promise I'll have funnier stories for you all in the coming days!
Much love!

A Little Man who Didn't Like Flan
Haaaaaaappy Monday loves! Not. Mondays are pooey. ;) Anyway, I was just thinking about the influx of traffic and readers to this lil' space of ours lately and I realized that I haven't really done a "formal" intro of myself for our new friends! I mean, I know I've got my handy dandy little tabs up top that do a pretty good job of introducing my weird little self, but I feel like the only real information that can be gleaned from my tabs is that I'm, what I like to lovingly refer to myself as, "adorkable". Haha, kidding. Kidding. I don't think anyone actually thinks of me that way, but I am a dork. Anyway, I thought I'd put together a fun little list of five random things about myself so any new readers can get to know me a little better. Here goes...
skirt: West Fourth Street (sold out but I'm loooooving this option and this option)
shoes: h&m
readers: F21 similar
I wore this look yesterday for church. I was going for a classic "50s school teacher" look, which actually ended up working out perfectly because one of my fellow Sunday School teachers got sick and I was asked to teach the lesson last minute. The outfit planning part of my brain secretly knew that was going to happen. ;) Really, though, the whole night before I had been feeling that I needed to study the lesson as if I were going to teach it, but like a little dummy, I ignored it and sho 'nuff I was asked to fill in a few hours before church. Recognizing promptings of the Spirit can be hard sometimes, but I'm definitely never doubting myself again. If I feel I need to do something I just gosh dang gotta do it. :) Anyway, I've had this skirt for a while now and I'm still just as in love with it as ever. I love it's color, movement, shape, and most of all modesty. It's hard to find a cute modest skirt these days! :) Also, these heels? Yeah, they're pretty much the highest heels I have EVER worn in my life. My foot is SO arched in them!! Every time I take them off I get a case of Barbie Foot for a couple of hours. Don't know what Barbie Foot is? Eets joost when your feet get stuck in that arched position. Anyway, these babies are definitely a challenge to walk in without feeling like I might loose my balance and plunge forward to a tragic death at any moment.
Much love!
- The only two foods I ever crave in life are, Orange Juice...and Flan. I'm sort of obsessed with them. OJ just makes me happy, and I mean the juice not the person. Haha I'm so punny. ;) And, well, flan is...flan. I mean, who couldn't love that caramely gooey good stuff?! I know who, Ben Stiller. Anyone remember that movie, "Envy", he was in with Jack Black? Ya know, "VaPOOrize". Ringing any bells? Well, there are multiple flan references in that movie. Check it, here's one.
- I frequently daydream about being on The Voice. I would pick either Adam or Blake as my coach and I would try out with this song. Still contemplating what I would wear, though...Anyway, that's how thoroughly I've thought it out. ;) Now if only I could sing...
- I'm very particular about the cheese that I like, but if I could, I would subsist on cheese sticks and queso fresco. I love those suckers.
- Bed time is my least favorite time of the day. I never sleep well, and I just kind of think it's boring. I'd rather be doing other things. Crazy much? Yes, but I never claimed otherwise. ;)
- I invent my own catch phrases. I have a few of them listed on my "isms" tab, but right now I'm playing around with "donka schoen". I mean, I know it's already a phrase in German, but I'm playing around with using it as a verb. For instance, "I'm going to go all donka schoen on your butt", or, "Don't get all donka schoen on me". I'm also playing around with using "das auto" in place of "that's funny". Whenever my sister says something even remotely amusing I'll chime in with my, "das auto". I guess I have a thing for the German language. :)

the bom DOT COM
Guesssssss whaaaaaaat? I am O-fficially a DOT COM! Woo, Woo! None of that silly .BLOGSPOT.com anymore, I am now just a nice and solid .COM! :) I'm preeeeeetty dang proud, if you couldn't already tell by my dedicating this whole post to the subject. ;) Oh, and, what's that you say? I wear this t-shirt entirely too much and I wear this skirt every other Sunday? Well, you're right. I do. But I mean, that's a sign of a quality closet item, right? Money well spent folks, money well spent. Also, these bronze snake skin pointed toe pumps? They were my first ever pair of heels! Hard to believe right? It's true, though, I got them all of a whole 8 years ago! Back when I was a wee lil' 14 year old. :) Man was that an awkward year! My nose was entirely too big for my face (it's crazy how fast that thing grows when the teen years hit;) and I was a total poofy haired brace face! It was a great year, though! I made some great life long friends, I was crazy obsessed with old school rocker Shakira, and I was consuming about ten PB&J's a day! Mmmmm, PB&Js. Sugar, carbs, and nutty goodness. Best combo ever. Also, the fact that these have fit my feet since then is just a tad disappointing because that means that my feet, and all of the rest of me too for that matter, haven't grown since then. Boo. That means I hit my ripe old height of 5'3 (debatably 5'2 at the doctor's office) at the age of 14. Also, I was craving another Pride&Prejudice read, but as my sister always tells me it's quickly becoming the only book I ever read I decided to go with another page tearing read of Persuasion. Ya know, just for a little variety. ;)

Now, I just want to quickly thank all of you lovely, lovely readers for following along thus far and just being all around amaze-balls! I know a lot of people hate that word, but what can I say, I like weird annoying words. ;) Now, don't forget that the last installment of the Blogging Essentials Giveaway will be going live on Wednesday, and the prize will be STELLAR! You won't want to miss it! Also, the winner of the $160 ASOS gift card will be announced on Thursday! Also, I'm thinking of putting together a Blogging 101 series, involving how-to's on how to make quick design updates to your blog (making social media buttons, quick headers, etc) and quick tips and tricks to running/growing a blog. Thoughts? Yay, nay, whatevs?
Much love and virtual hugs for being the best readers ever!

So Do You, uh, Like Cheese?
This weekend was amazing my friends. A lot of fun family events took place, and I feel so incredibly blessed. Family is the force of life, really and truly. Now, beyond the cheesy stuff, on Saturday I bought the best movie ever made. Hmmm, what movie could it possibly be you ask? No guesses? She's the Man! Best part? It only cost $5! Ooo, Ooo! I watched it with my sister as soon as we got home and let's just say we spent a good hour and a half laughing our heads off. So hilarious! Also, when I first watched the movie when I was fourteen I thought Channing Tatum was the hunk to end all hunks. I mean, he was tall, toned, and totally adorable. Plus, he played soccer, and back when I was a wee lil' high schooler being a soccer player was basically the core requirement in my "What Makes A Boy Attractive" check list, well, that and playing the guitar. If a guy played soccer and could prodigiously sing me a mind blowing cover of The Goo Goo Dolls' "Name" he was considered prime marrying material. I won't even bother delving into my embarrassing list of "Hunky McHunk Hunks" from those good old high school days. Good thing I've matured SOOOO much since then (she say's with sarcasm). ;) I can't honestly deny, though, that if a guy came up to me and sang "Name" I wouldn't say "I do" in a heartbeat. Well, if he met my more matured and reasonable hopes for a guy I would call husband. ;) Another thing, though? Back in the day I also believed cute lil' Channing was actually 17. Turns out he was actually twenty-FIVE when the movie came out. So much for times when teenagers were actually cast as teenagers. I think in another three years I'll be prime casting material for a teenager in a movie. ;)

Now, don't forget that the winner of the Nikon D3100 will be announced on Thursday and on Wednesday we have Part Two of the "Blogging Essentials" giveaway and it's going to be a prize you will NOT want to miss. Trust me. :) Now, how about some great She's the Man quotes?
- Duke: So do you, uh, like cheese?
- Eunice: More than almost any other animal by-product.
- Andrew: "Dude, why do you have tampons in your boot?"
- Viola:[as Sebastian] "Uh, I get really bad nose bleeds?"
- Duke: " So you stick them up your nose?"
- Viola: "Yeah! You mean you've never done that? Oh my gosh, Beckham does it all the time!"
- Duke: "No."
- Viola: "Look, I'll show you. You take that off.. and whatever that is.. and you just stick it right in. It absorbs right up!"
- Toby: Okay, how come when I wanted to ask Eunice out everyone made fun of me, but then Sebastian likes her and suddenly she's cool? Screw you guys. I hate high school.
- Viola: [on the phone] Mom, I will pick out my own dress. And no, I will not wear high heels. Because heels are a male invention designed to make women's butt look smaller... and to make it harder for them to run away.
- Viola: So, uh, you play the beautiful game... bros... brothers... brethren?
Much love!
