Posting in the middle of day? Yeah. I'm an awesome blogger. Awesome. The best. A'ight, enough of my self deprecating attitude. My blogging has just kind of fallen to the back burner this week, mostly because of the car accident. My back has been feeling like it's on the verge of snapping in two. No joke. That, and I keep getting infuriated by the whole situation and the injustice of the circumstances surrounding the whole stupid thing. It's enough to get me all huffy, puffy, moody, and not wanting to do much of anything but sit in bed, eat vanilla ice cream with fresh mangoes, watch The Mindy Project (which, last episode was AMAZINGGGGG!), and seethe. RRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Let's not talk about the fact that I'm seething, though. Let's move on to better subjects. :) First, I'm not usually one to wear heels on a day other than Sunday. Not because I'm not a heels wearing kinda gal but because I just don't think they're very practical for my day to day. That, and I have the feet of a pregnant woman. Seriously, they swell up to triple their size in about one hour of standing. And that's in flat shoes. I shudder to think how swollen they'd get wearing heels. Shiver. Anyway, I made an exception for these babies because they're just so darn cute. I kind of despised the whole thin strappy heel trend all of last year but this year I warmed up to them. They kind of remind me of the little high heels my Barbies would wear. :) Also, this whole week has been wetter than a Snowman on a hot July day. Seriously, yesterday's storms were ridic. I could barely see the ground in front of me from how hard it was coming down! I don't mind a whole lot, though, because it gives me an opportunity to use my lil' ol' trench. :) Anyway, you all know I'm a big playlist sharer, so I've got another one for you all! It's my rainy day, need to calm down from seething about injustice, swoon and wish I knew a hot musician playlist. Seriously, I love every single song on this playlist. Every single one. Happy listening!
Much love!

Who Puts the Glad in Gladiator?
"Hercules!...Is he bold? No one braver! Is he sweet? Our favorite flavor! Hercules, HERCULES!" Anyone remember that little tune? Ya know, the theme song to the cartoon version of the Disney movie, Hercules? I was a pretty big Herc fan as a kid. Both of the cartoon AND the movie and these sandals definitely remind me of them! Anyway, I didn't post yesterday...I know, I'm awful. Oh well. It was just my day off and I had a bunch of stuff to take care of. Being a grown up sucks. And I don't even technically qualify as one. ;) I'm watching Mona Lisa Smile, as I type, because, well, watching movies on Netflix has just sort of become my pre bed time ritual. I know, bad ritual to have, but well, I like movies. A little too much. Anyway, that's not the point, the point is, that movie? Yeah, it's awesome! One of my faves of Julia Robert's. The intensity of the story, the music, fashion, everything. It's all amazing. I wish I knew how to dance like they did back in the 50s!

Waaaaaaaaaanna know another trend to try? Gladiator sandals. Yep, they're in again. I kind of love how gladiator sandals have been coming in and out of style for the past few years, they're sort of like the trend that won't quit. I love it! At first I thought I was too short to pull them off, put I'm diggin 'em. I'm diggin 'em a lot! In fact, I can't wait to pair these babies with a dress or a skirt! Also, this Target bracelet? I'm in love! I love that it's like a bunch of random little bangles all wrapped up into one. My sissy and I went halfsies on it! We both spotted it, loved it, thought $10 was too much to pay for it, and then almost at the same time suggested splitting the cost of it and sharing it, because for $5 we would totally get it! Oh the beauty of having sisters! :)
Much love!

May the Fourth be With You
Boy was my weekend gosh awful, what with having a rando break into my backyard and getting into a car accident all in the course of one day, you could say my weekend was anything but lovely. In terms of the car accident, the other driver ran a red light and came crashing into my car, which, by the way, is completely ruined. Thankfully, I'm all right. Well, sore muscles, completely numb left side, and pounding headache aside. I kid you not, my head feels like it is on the verge of exploding like a fire work. There were some other circumstances involved that left not only my body feeling achey but also my soul. The sheer ugliness of some people in this world will never cease to astound me, but that's a story for another day. In other news, yesterday was Star Wars day!!! AH! I wish I could say I had been able to properly celebrate by marathoning all six movies, but I wasn't able to get my hands on ANY of them! Seriously, there were about 50 holds on each of them at the library and there was no network, that I was aware of, that was airing them. How lame, right? I've come to the decision, though, that it is completely worth the $80 I will shell out to my local Target to buy them, though. To call me a nerd at this very moment would be an understatement of the grossest kind. I surpassed nerd and entered a whole other dimension geekiness years ago. ;) Sigh, not being able to celebrate Star Wars day, though, or even be able to say, "may the fourth be with you", to a single soul was the icing on top of my crap fest of a weekend. The Force was definitely not with me this weekend. Why am I not a Jedi? The Force would have definitely come in handy when that car hit me. I could've just Jedi swooshed it out of my way.

I think the only outfit related chit chat I have for you all today is that 1) these shoes rock, and they rock even more because I got them for the stellar price of $25 during an Easter clearance event when they originally cost $90. (I bought them in April when I sucked at my no shopping challenge, but I have started fresh this month and fully intend to commit) and 2) this glittered baseball tee is like the best thing ever. Seriously, this tee is so soft and the sparkled sleeves just give it an extra spunk factor, and I loves the spunk. I loves it. Well, that's pretty much it, I think. I sincerely hope your weekends were much, much, better than mine. Although, I'm happy to be relatively unscathed, because honestly, by the looks of my poor car you would think I'd look a lot worse for wear. Oh and for the enjoyment of any fellow Star Wars fans out there, check it! Twerk it, twerk it! I wish I was a storm trooper...
Much love!
P.S. There is nothing in this world like a thoughtful best friend who sends you flowers on a crummy day. Really, true and sincere friendships make life more full!

Ram a Fist Down Their Throat
It saddens me greatly to post these photos because this outfit had originally been shot by my best gal, but due to some technical difficulties the photos were lost. Pooey. ;( So, here I am posting it with photos I had to just take myself, and yeah, they a'ight, but hers were cooler. Anyway, ya know when you get into "book mode" and all you want to do is read, read, read? Yeah, I'm totally in that mode right now with The Mediator series. I pretty much want to do nothing else but snuggle with a cozy blanket and read, read, READ, whilst eating a cookie...of course. :) As you can imagine, taking even the teensiest of breaks, to write out this blog post, is hindering my read mode greatly. Not that I don't love you all or anything, but I mean, I've got a kick butt ghost busting teenager who is falling in love with a totally babelicious Spanish ghost guy to get back to! Also, ya know when you come across snippets of sheer life changing quote gold in a book? I came across one of those today while reading, "I'm just not the kind of girl guys think about asking out. Well, maybe they think about it, but they always seem to manage to talk themselves out of it. I don't know if it's because they think I might ram a fist down their throat if they try anything, or if it's just because they're intimidated by my superior intelligence and good looks (haha)." Ha! Had ya fooled, that's probably not quotable gold to anyone besides me. ;)

Anyway, we're continuing on with our chilly Spring day outfits. I think one of the most fun ways to stay a little toasty on a rainy spring day is by wearing a knit scarf. Especially in a bright fun color, that way it doesn't feel too winter-y. Also, a good way of making a more layered outfit feel more Springy is by adding touches of things that are inherent Spring staples, like florals. And oh, baby, are these floral shorts cozy. They feel like a breeze, no joke. Anyway, I gotta get back to my book. Even, though, I've already read the series a good few times I'm still completely enthralled. Must. Keep. Reading. No. Interruptions. ;)

Spaceman Says Everybody Look Down
t-shirt: (borrowed from my baby sissy) Killers Merch Table, available here
plaid top: F21 similar
army jacket: Old Navy similar
jeans: American Eagle similar
motorcycle boots: F21
We've been having some pretty nutso weather here in Utah. Sunshine, rain, sleet, hail, SNOW, and back to sunshine all in one day. Nothin' new for Utah I guess. :) Anyway, even though it IS technically Spring the weather doesn't always cooperate with us, so for that reason, this week I'm bringing you all chilly weather wear! We're kickin' off the week's chilly weather outfits with these moto boots! Seriously, you guys, motorcycle boots are def a trend to try! They're comfy, edgy, and just a little bit...dare I say it...cool! Not to mention that they're SO versatile. I mean, pair 'em with jeans and you've got an edgy biker/punk look BUT, pair 'em with a lacey tunic dress and you've got yourself the ultimate cool girl juxtaposition!! Not to mention that they make my need to cuff my jeans look a LOT cooler! Basically, these boots are magical and can make even the geekiest of girls (meeeee) look cool. Not that I ever aspired to that or anything, but we're talkin' James Dean kick some hard core butt "cool", not snootty queen bee "cool". Also, band tees? How awesome are they? Want to amp up the unique factor in an outfit? Throw on a band tee! I love that my little sister has LITERALLY bought a t-shirt at EVERY SINGLE concert we've been to! It's the best, I need to start following suit! Now, just because I absolutely CANNOT resist quoting some more Killers, "Run neon tiger, there's a lot on your mind, they'll strategize and maim you, but don't let them tame you. You're far too pure and bold". Be bold my Neon Tigers!! Rawwr! Ok, that was lame. Who do I think I am, Lady Gaga? My apologies. ;)
Much love!
P.S. "Comin' out of my cage and I've been doin' just fine. Gotta, gotta be down because I want it all...Destiny is calling me, open up my eager eyes!" Sorry, had to do it. Those Killers are lyrical genius' (mostly Brandon). How they slay me. Pun intended. ;) Who am I kidding? My puns are always intended. :)
