Je Ne Sais Quoi

Guys, Third Eye Blind ROCKED! Seriously, they played till midnight and it was pretty freakin' bomb. Not going to lie, though, I spent the rest of the weekend somewhere in between pissed as heck and non chalant. Pretty weird combo, right? There are just some people that I seriously do not understand, and I don't know why I keep letting into my sphere. Enough of that, though. Y'all don't even know what I'm talking about so I'm sure that was super boring. Moving on. You know what you all should be wearing this summer? Easy breezy tee's like this pale pink one from Madewell, with flowy lightweight maxis, and gladiator sandals. Seriously, such an easy combo and a great way to stay cool in this heat without having to be basically naked in teeny tiny shorts. ;)

Much love!

Common Denominator

Guys, I totally wrecked my legs the other day at the gym. I had the brilliant idea of going alone (if you know me, that's never a good idea). I had just had an HPV shot -which, ladies, if you've had one then you already know that those things hurt like a mother trucker aaaaand they come in a series of FOUR so you can't just get one and be done with it!- so my arm was all sorts of sore and achey. For that reason I decided I'd just do legs. So, I start my workout feelin' pretty good, then I think "Eh, it doesn't really feel like I'm doing much. I'll just do a little more. And a little more. Aaaaand a little more." I didn't stop doing "a little more" of the insane exercises I come up with until I realized I still had to book it to the chiropractor. Long story short, that night I started feeling it a little bit so I thought, "Meh, I guess I did work out sort of hard." BUT then, the next morning, I wake up thinking, "OH MUH GOSH. I've died. I'm dead. My legs don't work anymore! I'm PARALYZED! I've ruined my legs. They're broken. I broke them!" Ok, ok, so I'm exaggerating a little bit. I'm not quite that dramatic but you get the point, my legs were CRAZY sore. Mind you, as a runner I'm pretty accustomed to the "mild" soreness you get from long runs or speed runs BUT I haven't cross trained in months because I was allowing my back to heal so I completely forgot what it felt like to be genuinely SORE. Why do people work out again? ;) Anyway, moral of the story, don't work out alone! Bring somebody along with you that can tell you, "Hey maniac, we've done enough. Let's go." :)

I was so super excited to post this look because of that cute Christmas tree in the background! Plus, for those of you gals that go to church on Sundays, this is your go to ensemble right hurrr! Sweater, maxi, boots. You won't feel a lick of that nasty cold and you'll still look uber cute while still being toasty! Plus, no shaving required! Which pretty much means you can start growing some fur on your legs for extra warmth and no one will be the wiser! ;) Now, personally, this is more of a week day outfit for me and not a church outfit. Why, you ask? Because I have absolutely no scruples when it comes to wearing dresses sans tights along with five inch heels in the winter! Cold, schmold. There is nothing in this world that could stop me from pulling out ALL the stops when it comes to dressing up for church on Sundays. *CULTURE LESSON* This is a common denominator amongst most Latina women. If you've ever been to a Spanish ward, you know what I'm talking about. Latinas dress up for church like we're going to the Miss Universe pageant. We pull out our best dress, tallest heels, cutest accessories, do our hair up nice and pretty, and make sure our make-up is on point! That's just how we do. ;) Anyway, if I don't pop in tomorrow to announce some Black Friday deals then I'll say happy thanksgiving now. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Much love!

I'm a Little Weirdo

So, today I'm going to share a thought that I had this morning that will thoroughly convince you all of my oddness. I was on my run, getting pumped, enjoying this PERFECT Fall weather, loving the burning sensation in my lungs and legs and yet totally hating that I'm pretty much a suck butt runner now due to my back pain from the car accident I was in at the beginning of Summer, when I passed a farm-ish area complete with horses. And you all know what comes along with horses. Poop. Horse poop. That's what comes along with horses. And you know what comes along with horse poop? Stink. Now here comes the funny part. As I took a deep inhale of horse poop stench my initial thought was, "Ugh. Yeck." BUT, then I told myself, "No, Brain, you can't think that. Horse poop smell is the smell of nature. It's freshness. Breath it in. Enjoy it." Freaky right? I tried to CONVINCE myself that horse poop smell is a good smell. I tried to convince myself to like it. See, I told ya I was weird. ;) Also, I have a Gilmore Girls induced headache. I. Must. Stop. It's too hard, though, Rory and Dean (MmmmMmmm, Dean;) are deeply in love and Jess has just showed up to screw it all up. It's very intense. Very.

I think I've already mentioned, oh, about a thousand times, my love for maxi's in the Fall! For this look I was goin' for a more boho vibe so instead of wearing my maxi at my waist I wore it on my hips to give it a longer more casual feel. I also paired it with this yellow sweater which has now become my favorite sweater EVER! Seriously, I've been wearing it almost everyday! You all need a yellow sweater in your lives! I'll link some cute options down below! Also, blue and yellow is such a fun combo for Fall! It's unexpected and fun! Also, I'm in LOVE with these photos by Roxana! Seriously, she is amazing and you all need to book her for photos! Not to mention she has the cutest baby boy who I was making goofy faces at almost the entire time we were shooting so I'm very surprised that we managed to get any good photos!

Much love!

Tongues

You guys are just going to have to forgive me but I'm a total outfit repeater. I know I already posted a look with this lovely maxi skirt last week, but it's just too pretty to not post twice. Also, in real life we wear things waaaaay more than just once, so I'm just bein' real. ;) Also, do you guys ever get tongue pimples? Ya know the occasional weird tiny pump on the edge or tip of the tongue that's all sensitive and annoying? Well, I gots one on the edge of my tongue on Sunday and it's been bugging me ever since. I can't eat, chew, or speak in peace without the dang thing rubbin' up on my teeth and hurting. Somehow I feel like this is something my mouthwash should have prevented? I don't know. It sure is annoying as butt, though. Also, I can't even begin to explain how much it ROCKS to not have to wash any makeup off at night now that I have my eyelash extensions! (If you missed yesterday's post, check it here and take advantage of the coupon I'm offering!) It's seriously the BEST feeling in the world to just be able to crawl into bed without having to think, "Urrrrrr, I still have to wash my face....", BEST feeling ever. Also, getting ready in the mornings is way more fun now because all I have to do is do ma hurrs and pick out an outfit and then I'm left with all this extra time to just dilly dally and laze about! Which, come on, we all know dilly dallying and lazing about in the mornings is the best thing in the world! ;)

Even, though, we're still technically still in the grip of summer we all know we're starting to have Fall on our  minds and with that comes thoughts of Fall Fashion. One of my first ways to start transitioning a touch of Fall into my wardrobe every year is by mixing my leather jackets into otherwise very summery looks! I love, love, love, the look of a maxi with a leather jacket! Also, forgive my creepy hair. I totally look like a bald baby. Whatevs. Babies are cute. Right? ;) Anyway, creepy hair aside, these are some of my fave photos by Rachel! It's so fun how sometimes you can find cool places for photos in the most random places!

Much love!

Wedding China

Soooo...I have been a beyond poopy blogger lately. I mean, I'm sure you all noticed the tumble weeds rollin' by my space here last week. Whoops. My excuse? I have none. Heehee. ;) The good news is I'm back again this week and I have some super fun looks to share with you all! Seriously, I'm so excited to share them all with you. Also, wanna know how I spent my last week? Shamelessly listening to David Archuleta. On repeat. In my room, in the shower, at work, in the car. Pretty much everywhere. Oh and might I add I have been blasting "Crush" in the car on the way to work and have been belting it. Pretty sure all the passersby think I'm nuts. They're probably right. Man, listening to good ol' little David has been like a major throwback Thursday. MAJOR. Takes me back to the good old high school days. Which, speaking of throwbacks, like the good little nerd that I am I have also started re-reading the Harry Potter series. I don't know what made me want to do it but I sure am glad I'm doin' it. Actually I know exactly what made me want to do it. My sister was watching the movies last week, she likes falling asleep to them (don't ask me why, cuzzzzz, I have no idea) so hearing little snippets of them made me want to re-read the whole series. Also, I brought book 2 into work with me the other day, because it's been a little slow, and this total hottie patottie of a customer that I was helping was like, "Oh. My. Gosh. I LOVE Harry Potter!"...of course I immediately started picking out our wedding china in my head, because um, a HOT guy that LOVES Harry Potter? That's prime husband material right thurrr! 'Course he had to go and ruin it all by saying, "my girlfriend and me are on book 3 right now!" Wedding. China. shattered. ;)

It's been pretty rainy and gloomy these past couple of days here in Utah so I put together a warmer rainy day look. Of course it just so happened to be perfectly sunny when Rachel and I took these. ;) Anyway, I love that rainy summer days don't require too much bundling up. A simple sweatshirt does the trick and allows you to still wear more light weight pieces like this chiffon maxi skirt from Chic Wish. Which, you guys, this maxi skirt is DIvine! I know I'm always telling you all that Chic Wish is da best, but seriously, they are. I mean, it's soooooo floaty and dreamy! I've already worn it about a hundred times. Also, I love the look of monochromatic looks and this outfit was alllllll about different shades of cream. Well, stay tuned for some more Chic Wish looks I'll have for you all this week!

Much love!
